Sustainability 101 for Small Business - February, 2027
Running a small or medium-sized business or nonprofit comes with constant pressure—tight margins, low engagement or high turnover, shifting regulations, and growing expectations from customers, employees, and investors. Many organizational leaders know they should be doing more to future-proof their operations, but don’t have the time, tools, or budget to figure out where to begin. That’s where this workshop comes in.
In this session, you’ll learn the beginning steps to:
Leverage existing information and data to start tracking your impact
Determine what metrics are most important for your funders, investors, customers, clients, employees, and other stakeholders
Address operational challenges and business goals with sustainability solutions
Understand the building blocks of a purpose-driven workplace that boosts team engagement and retention
Start small without sacrificing impact, using low-cost, high-reward practices you can implement right away.

Earth Day Cleanup - April 22, 2027
ACAP Saint John is thrilled to announce that next year's Earth Day Cleanup will be hosted in partnership with Sustainable Saint John!
Year after year, this cleanup has brought our community together, and every time, the results from our shared effort remind us just how much our neighbourhoods need this care. By joining forces with Sustainable Saint John, we’re excited to expand our impact by reaching even more community groups.
Join us at Social Enterprise HUB (139 Prince Edward St) at 1 pm on Earth Day (April 22) to celebrate the day by helping to clean up the Prince Edward St area and Chown Field. We will supply all the materials needed to do the cleanup, all we need is some extra hands to help out!
